WEEK 27: Change of focus.
Good morning #gardeners. As we enter the second week of July Clockhouse will be changing focus away from annual #beddingplants & back to #gardening staples such as #perennials & #shrubs.
A busy start to gardening season has left us a little low on choice of varieties but we are supplementing our own grown range with #plants from other growers, wherever possible. In the background we are now working hard potting more shrubs & perennials ready for autumn 2021 & the spring / summer season of 2022.
Please remember that even UK plant wholesalers have had a record year with an estimated extra 3 million gardeners joining the ranks of existing enthusiasts. Combine this with import difficulties experienced through the Brexit shambles & the result has made it a 'tricky' year for all of them. Many have not been able to make this years stock roll seamlessly into next years. There will be temporary gaps in availability on some lines. Ornamental tress are a good example with no fresh stock ready to despatch to #garden centres until September.
There will be one more group of clearance offers to follow regarding #patioplants & #hangingbaskets. A word on this, on social media, from David will follow later today.
It is important to let you know that we are NOT closing. We are open all year & we endeavour to keep our usual range available minus fresh bedding plants & vegetables. Our season for producing these particular plants has finished, that is all.

One more note worthy item for this update. Next week things will be a little quiet on the social media front as our admin will be on their holidays. So from Saturday 10th July please direct questions via our telephone & email instead of social messaging.
That is all for now.
Happy #Gardening Everyone.
