Week 26: A Stranger Recognized My Brand, I Haven't Even Launched Yet!
An Accountant's’ journey to navigate the landmine ‘Field of Everything’ but Accounting.
I am writing "52 Cups of Espresso" weekly update on a Startup Journey for a #workleisure lifestyle brand. Documentation of lessons learned and advice along the way. See where the journey began here. Read on and join the conversation.
I'm still working on ramping up to the launch date of April 17th! Lux & Nyx which means Light and Night. In reality, I'm working day and night as well. How ironic!
You never understand that feeling you get... when someone recognizes your product until you go through it. It's as if I met a celebrity!! I was so excited!!!
This week, I have my product for display at Dimvaloo, a premium sportswear St. Louis retail store in the Ladue area. Customers can pre-order there, it's to provide customers an experience of what the Lux & Nyx look and feel like in person.
The owner Kate Duryea is a friend of mine that I made on this journey, so I occasionally just go and hangout and talk shop. As I was in the store, I started showing the girls and a few customers present my products. One of the customers said ... "I follow you on instagram, I recognize your brand!"
This is the first time a complete stranger told me she recognized my brand! Also, it turns out she's an awesome entrepreneur herself. Instagram @lianburncoach She owns Burn1000 workout training facility in Town & Country of St. Louis. I've been there many times before in route to my previous corporate job!
I was elated, and felt like a proud mama.
Our instagram is @luxandnyx. Keep in mind, I did not start posting anything related to my products until just this past week. But what I've done is built in the ideals of the brand in our social, in anticipation of this brand launching. It seems like I already have fans before launch date! woohoo! :)
Below is a social tag from her! Also, Michelle is my first name, in case you were wondering who Michelle was referring to in the text.
Cheers, and until next week!
