Week 20.42 Thanks for Giving
Scott Osman
CEO @ 100 Coaches | Co-Author WSJ bestseller Becoming Coachable, named to Coaches50 by Thinkers50
I am so appreciative of the enthusiastic support that you all gave for the first 100 Leaders Live conference that 100 Coaches in partnership with WBECS ran last week. 100 Leaders Live is the third leg of our strategy to cultivate leadership. It supports our mandate to give as many people as possible free access to the world-class leadership content of the 100 Coaches thinkers. And it supports our work in curating communities of people who can support and be supported to become better leaders. !00 Leaders Live will include regular free keynotes from our members, a community in which people can access our content whenever they want and can connect with each other. And early next year, we will launch the 100 Leaders Live Network which will enable even more direct connection between 100 Coaches leadership thinking and the people who seek to learn. All of this began last week. It happened because of the vision of Ben Croft, Zion Kim, and Marva Sadler and the hard work of Chris Alexander, Beth Schofield, Dino Bosack, and Kristen Nolan from WBECS. It happened because of the support of Luke Joerger and Hastings Digital. And of course, it happened because of Marshall and the 100 Coaches.
The 100 Leaders Live event is a key milestone in our development as a community, and, together with the launching of Methods by 100 Coaches establishes 100 Coaches as the premier group for cultivating leadership and curating community. And our timing could not be better. We can all agree that leadership will be more important than ever in 2021, the demands for the kind of selfless, visionary, and inspiring leadership that we promote will be critical to staying healthy, re-growing the economy, caring for the environment, and returning to values. As I listened to the presentations at the 100 Leaders Live conference, take the courses at Methods by 100 Coaches, and think about our deep bench of knowledge, I am hopeful about the future and grateful for the contribution that we will be able to make in the lives of others. Do you have a hobby?
Alex Lazurus is writing an article and looking to interview leaders with hobbies. Are you someone who finds flow/ joy/energy in a non-work-related activity? Maybe after a long day of strategy talks, you’re a maker; you go home and weave a tapestry, let your hair down and play in a band, write poetry, do dance classes, grow vegetables ?? ?? or maybe this posts feels like a nudge to dust off old hobbies and passions and you’d like to have a chat about it? The aim of the article is to invite a reflection on what have we left behind when leadership took over our identity, why it happens, and at the same time - showcase examples of leaders with hobbies ??. Please share your hobbies in the comments!
