Week #1: Gathering Leads & Generating Traffic

There are multiple ways to gather leads in your business. One way I've been able to generate leads is through my in-person networking and conferences I've attended. You see me above talking with a prospective client at the 2023 XYPN Live Conference in Atlanta, GA. No matter your style, it's important to find a way to systematize this vital process in your business.

In the first article of this special 8 week series, I introduced the 8 Workflow Phases you need to become a top financial advisor. It's a multiple page resource I created to help business owners better manage these activities in their business. This week I'll discuss how to gather leads and generate traffic.

Paid Traffic Strategies: Targeted advertising on platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and Google. These strategies are the most expensive of the tactics you can use, but are highly effective by using captivating lead magnets to court your audience effectively. This paid tactic can reach a wide audience, quickly in advertising your services. You should understand that this can cause interest in your business to grow very quickly! Make sure you have the right infrastructure and business systems in place to handle any influx in new business.

Email Marketing: Once you've identified the traffic strategy, what are you pointing them to? An effective lead magnet will allow someone to "trade their email address for your resource" but you will need to develop a compelling nurture email sequence campaign, that not only grabs attention but also drives new business. Attention spans are short, so you will need to put thought into how to use your email marketing sequence to both educate and compel readers to action.

Social Media Dominance: I just mentioned, attention spans are short. Are you using video and "going live" as a part of your strategy? You can harness the potential of live streaming on platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Exploring how social media marketing can be a game-changer in expanding your reach and engaging with your audience is a fantastic way to drive traffic, consistently.
