Week 15 - The Real Work Week
Week 15 was a special week as the students and staff paid homage two MP brothers that we lost on 22 April 2006. Cpl Randy Payne and Cpl Matt Dinning were serving in Afghanistan when they were killed in action. The students of MP DP1 Belanger Platoon paid tribute to these two but conducting PT, known as the Payne Train. Their week also consisted of a range day for the C-8 carbine, they also completed their enabling check (EC) on Protect a crime scene and protect/collect evidence.
As part of their Use of Force package, they practiced TTC which involved clearing into and through a building IOT deal with an active shooter. This includes; breaching, movement formations, corner drills, room entry, room clearing which entailed discussing threat zones and threat priorities. They practiced as 2, 3, and 4 person entry teams.?
All in all it was a great week, EXCEPT for the CRAZY CANADA GEESE!
