"Becoming a Key Person of Influence"

A lot of what I am trying to do with this newsletter is learnt from the works of Daniel Priestley

He says -

Influence is more about authenticity and consistent sharing than flashy titles. ??

Being a Key Person of Influence isn’t about numbers or awards. It’s about being genuine, sharing your unique insights, and building trust.

But why is it important?

Two reasons:

  1. Everything we were taught in school was to build "compartmental labour". Box cut templates that can be applied to all businesses. The market and it's demands have evolved, so should our offering.
  2. Soon, most content you interact with will be AI generated. This will create a large demand for authentic, humane voices that give actual value.

The answer to both of these is choosing to be a key person of influence.

?? The process is simple:

Identify and attempt to solve a problem → document the process → collect takeaways → share with public

The beauty of this is you and your community both find value from the process; whether or not you actually solve the problem is immaterial.

Why I’m on This Path?

I’m committed to this because it opens doors. It’s not just another certification or title — it's about boosting credibility, finding new opportunities, and growing both personally and professionally.
