Wednesday is Food Day

It’s Wednesday, so let’s talk food not statistics, questionnaire design, or even, heaven forbid, how to maximize your linear regression technique.
I consider myself above average in running a cluster analysis (and, by the way, on some days, near expert level on creating a cluster-f&#@). But I truly am at expert level in finding amazing lunch places. So every Wednesday, from here on out, I will focus on food. Because you can’t write an amazing report on an empty stomach.
My favorite thing for a good lunch is a sandwich with chips on the side. And while typically you have your choice of sodas to go with it at most sandwich shops, when creating the perfect Dagwood, my beverage of choice is milk. There is something to a glass of milk that makes a sandwich extra delicious.
And nothing is better paired with milk than a peanut butter sandwich. So, let’s talk ways to take your peanut butter sandwich game up a level.
- One of my favorites--banana slices embedded in the peanut butter.
- Add some crunch with potato chips in the sandwich, not just on the side.
- Instead of honey or jam, use Nutella with peanut butter for the sandwich equivalent of a Reese’s peanut butter cup
- My favorite--thanks to a deli in downtown Denver--the fried peanut butter sandwich. Butter the outsides of the bread and throw the sandwich onto a hot frying pan for peanut butter version of grilled cheese. I have found, through much trial and error, that strawberry jam is the best compliment in a fried version.
On another note, peanut butter is a great condiment to include on a cheeseburger. Trust me on this.
Send me your ideas for a better peanut butter sandwich. Always open to something new and tasty for lunch.
