SOUTHERN BELLE BRIDESMAIDS

One of the interesting things about 21st Century Weddings, is that the cultural 'rules' & expectations for what is 'proper' for Wedding proceedings is a good bit more relaxed. Wedding "themes" are now much more the norm & determining factor in the "look" of the wear & venue decor. In this Wedding Waltz image from a Wedding I shot 14 years ago to the day (7/6/2005) the Bridesmaids are so enjoying playing their roles for the day as Bella Bridesmaids, as of course they should for a Wedding held at one of the Historic Charleston Plantations (this one at Middleton Gardens). While these lovely matching "Citadel blue" & crisp white fitted bridesmaids gowns aren't exactly antebellum period gowns, but the white gloves & colorful umbrella "shades" add to the part & allow the viewer to understand the relevance to the Historic venue the event was held at. I love the bit of teasing fun in their countenances as they so enjoy the "fun formalities" of their roles as SOUTHERN BELLE BRIDESMAIDS "Dahling"!
