>> Preferred dates
Most couples are not date driven. Meaning the venue is more important than the final date. Yes they might be thinking of a 'Saturday in summer' but even that can change when they fall in love with your venue. Or indeed see that they can save money on a Thursday. The first step is to showcase your venue digitally and then in person.
If they love the venue then discuss dates.
>> Guest Count
Many times couples do not know. At the early stages of venue hunting they may still be questioning whether to have 50, 120 or 200. They don't yet know how much it will cost and they haven't made a final guest list. They are researching.
We see couples adjust guest count to fit venues they love!
>> Budget
They REALLY do not know. When newly engaged couples start researching venues they are genuinely clueless about what pricing will look like. They are trying to understand what they can get for what price. When we ask for budget this shows we are thinking and selling the way we sell to corporate. Big mistake! As a venue we show them a value ladder of what they can expect included at various price points and this is how we weed out those who can never afford us as well as attract in higher spenders.
