Hello there WeChat users! Have you noticed something's different with your WeChat? Yep, the latest version of WeChat is out, let's find out what's new!
- Convert to voice message to text
When we record a new voice message, we normally release our finger to re-record or cancel the message. But with the new version, there will be two options for you to choose when you release our finger. You can either cancel the voice message or convert it to texts in Mandarin, Cantonese or English.
- Recently used emojis
Before when we trying to send a friend some emojis, we have to go through the whole collection all the time. But now we can find the most recently used emojis from the new section of "Recently used emojis", which is so much easier for us to send our favorite or to-go emojis.
- Floating windows now supports multiple windows types.
Have you ever needed to view your messages while reading an article with WeChat? People always find its annoying to back out of articles mid-stream so they can check their messages, until the function of "Floating windows" was introduced.
The new version supports more window types such as document preview, music display, web link and Mini-Programs. You just simply swipe right and hold to minimize the screens to your "Floating window". You can add maximum five different windows. This new update easily makes users browsing experience even more convenient.
- Mute notifications from WeChat Pay
There's always a notification message of our transaction details after using WeChat Pay, some people find it is quite annoying. The new function allow users to mute the notification. Below is a screenshot to show you how to do it step by step.
