Website- Yay or Nay?

Website- Yay or Nay?

After ten years of working with incredible clients and refining my craft, I finally decided to create and launch my website. It’s been a journey of growth, discovery, and learning, and now, I am confident that my site speaks to exactly what I do and what I offer and most importantly who I am.

Over the years I discovered a few nuggets of wisdom about the benefits of using landing pages and the pitfalls of premature website launches.

Landing pages are a fantastic way to test the waters without committing to a full-blown website. When you’re still figuring out your direction, a landing page can help you gauge interest, collect feedback, and build a mailing list. It’s like dating your audience before marrying them. You get to see what resonates, tweak your messaging, and refine your offerings. It’s a low-cost, low-risk strategy that keeps you nimble and responsive. This was my strategy.

On the flip side, I’ve seen many coaches and entrepreneurs dive headfirst into launching a website before their business is fully formed. It’s like building a house without a blueprint. Sure, it looks great on the outside, but it might not have the foundation to support long-term growth. A premature website launch can lead to wasted time, money, and energy. Plus, it can be disheartening if you don’t get the traction you expected.

So, if you’re a coach or solopreneur thinking about going having an online presence, take a moment to strategize. Use landing pages to test your ideas and understand your audience. And when you’re ready, your website will be a robust, engaging reflection of your well-crafted vision.

You can check out my new site here.

I'd love to know what you think!

Love & Light,

Susan

Wow! 10 years of success without a website. What a story. What did you use for landing pages?

I so agree. I wish I had did what you did and only used landing pages before designing my website.
