Wix Updates
Speed up site planning with Studio’s visual sitemap and wireframe generator
Accelerate site planning with a fully-native, AI-powered visual sitemap tool that can simultaneously generate custom wireframes.
You’ll need to answer a few questions about your client’s site to generate a visual sitemap and get a bird’s-eye view of its structure and page hierarchy, with pre-installed apps and business solutions.
You can also choose to add custom wireframes with tailored content suggestions and edits that automatically sync to the corresponding visual sitemap—and vice versa.
Studio Editor: set images as the section background from the canvas
Wix have added a shortcut for setting images as the section background. Now you can click an icon on the canvas, instead of navigating to the section background in the Inspector panel.
When you add an image that is the direct child of a section, click on the corner icon to Set image as background. This sets the image as the section background instead of stretching it.
Meet the new Side Cart: improvements to the Mini Cart
Wix have upgraded the Mini Cart to the Side Cart for improved design, mobile compatibility, and added a direct Checkout button to grow conversions. It can be customized to fit your clients’ brand, as well as be accessed and configured in the editor through the Pages Panel. You’ll need to activate the Checkout button manually. This improves performance and ensures the Side Cart is also available on mobile. If the Side Cart hasn’t been automatically added to your site, simply publish to apply the update.
Translate Bookings site content with Wix Multilingual
You can now translate Bookings site content with Wix Multilingual and help clients welcome visitors in 180+ languages. Clients can boost their presence and accept appointments in multiple countries and localize images and settings to local standards.
Forms update: validate form data with customised rules
Improve your data collection process with the new Wix Functions integration. You can now be sure that submissions meet your requirements by verifying email addresses, restricting aliases, and more. You can also set up error messages to let users know what went wrong and how they can correct their submissions.
Wix Bookings X Connecteam: help clients seamlessly assign bookings
Wix now integrate with Connecteam, the all-in-one employee management system, means you can now offer clients an efficient way to schedule and assign bookings with staff members.
Duplicate site elements quickly with a new keyboard shortcut
Try the new keyboard shortcut that lets you drag an exact copy of a site element and control its position—in seconds. To quickly duplicate an element in the Studio Editor, simply:
Wix Events: assign tickets to individual seats and define seat properties
You can now customize your client’s event seating by assigning a variety of seating properties. Our new Single Seat Selection tool lets you mark seats as VIP, wheelchair-accessible and other properties. You can also select individual seats from the row and assign them different tickets.
