WebPT is 10,000 Clinics Strong

It’s official: WebPT is now 10,000 clinics strong.

It’s still kind of hard for us to believe that we have actually reached this milestone. We’ve been talking about it for weeks—months, actually—and during that time, our team has done a lot of reflecting. After all, it doesn’t seem like that long ago that we launched our little niche-software company out of the back room in a coffee shop. In our first month of business back in 2008, we sold five clinics—and we thought that was huge. Still, we dreamed big—we knew that the product we’d created had the potential to elevate the entire rehab therapy profession. And that makes days like today even more special, because it reminds us that all of our hard work has helped thousands of rehab therapists across the country:

• provide better care to their patients;
• run their businesses more efficiently;
• remain compliant with ever-evolving healthcare regulations; and
• track outcomes data to demonstrate their value to providers, patients, and payers alike.

In the years since WebPT launched, we’ve turned technology adoption in the rehab therapy world on its head. Back in 2008, 80% of clinics were still documenting on paper; now, that’s down to 16%. And that amount of change across an entire industry—in such a short amount of time—is incredible.

Our vision has always been to empower rehab therapists to achieve greatness in practice. In our early years, that meant helping therapists transition to a more efficient way of documenting so they could focus more of their time and energy on treating their patients. As more and more rehab professionals joined the WebPT community, we were able to broaden the scope of our mission statement by making our product suite even more robust.

Most of the features and functionality we’ve added to WebPT have come directly from Member feedback. WebPT literally wouldn’t be the system that it is today without all of our awesome Members in the PT, OT, and SLP communities.

So, thank you. Thank you for allowing us to serve you. Thank you for trusting us with such a crucial aspect of your practice. Thank you for providing feedback that has helped us shape our products and services. None of this would have been possible without you. Each and every one of you has helped raise the bar on the quality of care provided by rehab therapists across the country.

All of that being said, we’re nowhere near done innovating; our journey is nowhere near finished. And we can’t wait to see what we achieve next—together. Cheers to many more years of partnership—and many more celebration-worthy milestones.
