LinkedIn is the ideal platform for B2B new business development. With a database of 1 bn professional people, the ‘trick’ is to follow a structured approach that helps you generate consistent actions.

The number 1 problem most salespeople have is they don’t follow a structured approach and do a bit of content and a bit of outreach with no focus.

Our Sales Navigator Blueprint 3-stage process helps salespeople with this.

Phase 1: The Foundations

Before you start doing anything, you need to optimise your landing page. You wouldn’t spend lots of money on ads to send someone back to your website if it’s just a temporary holding page.

This stage turns your LinkedIn profile from a CV that most people have into a landing page that resonates with your target audience. Providing credibility for you, your company and your solutions.

Phase 2: Sales Navigator Set Up & Training

Sales Navigator is a sales and marketing tool that sits on top of LinkedIn. It can be used to find your ideal audience and reach out to them in a relevant way based on insights resulting in sales conversations.

However, ‘out of the box’ Sales Navigator needs to be configured for each individual. The external world needs to be brought into Sales Navigator. Various systems need to be set up in Sales Navigator so salespeople know what to do but also where to focus. The tool itself needs to be learned to run these systems.

Phase 3: Campaign Execution

Once Sales Navigator is set up the next stage is to generate meaningful touchpoints with your ideal clients. Through a combination of inbound activities and outbound outreach, potential clients become aware, show interest and conversations are created, leading to meetings and clients. Not everyone is actively looking (only 3% of the whole audience) so ongoing touchpoints are a part of the system to continually develop these meaningful sales conversations.
