Webinar planned to discuss new normal for Scottish optoms
Optometrists from across Scotland are set to discuss what the ‘new normal’ looks like at a webinar this month.
Optometry Scotland, the non-profit making organisation that represents the industry in Scotland, is holding the free event on Tuesday 24th August from 6pm to 7.30pm.
It will feature a panel of experts from ABDO, AOP, FODO, Public Health Scotland, and the Scottish Government who will be on hand to answer questions.
Open to both members of Optometry Scotland and non-members, it will be hosted by the organisation’s vice-chair Julie Mosgrove alongside Eilidh Thomson who is the Black and Lizars representative at OS.
Julie Mosgrove said: “Throughout the pandemic we have been inundated with questions about the latest guidelines and now the focus is on what the new normal will look like.?We have brought together a panel of experts who can bring some clarity around the latest expectations for community optometrists when it comes to keeping staff and patients safe.
“If you’re planning to attend and there are any questions you would particularly like to see addressed, we would encourage you to send these to us in advance so we can make the session as tailored as possible.”
Questions can be emailed to [email protected] and the webinar will be live streamed onto the Optometry Scotland Facebook page @optomscotland.
