Webinar: Isn’t time to end workplace bullying?

Excerpt from Grow Your Spine & Manage Abrasive Leadership Behavior by Laura Crawshaw, Ph.D., BCC

“Most management books don’t address the challenge of managing abrasive behavior, otherwise known as unacceptable conduct. Telling an abrasive leader to stop being abrasive is like telling a drowning person to start swimming. It’s accurate advice, but not particularly helpful, because abrasive leaders see no need to change, and even if they do, they know no better way to achieve their objectives.

“Here’s the good news: most bosses who bully can change if their managers motivate them to transform their leadership styles using the correct strategy: management intervention. This book evolved from my years of helping managers of abrasive leaders face a task they dreaded: telling the individual they’re behaving badly and holding them accountable for acceptable conduct.”

Dr. Laura Crawshaw and I are teaming up to discuss these thorny issues on September 28 in a live webinar. We have heard your stories and know the pain of workplace bullying. It is more than time to break the cycle of these toxic behaviors and explore realistic and reasonable solutions.

And guess what? You won’t get fired for it either.

?The data shows that workplace bullying is one of the biggest and most painful problems in the global workplace and for that reason we must address it.

Bonnie Low-Kramen and Dr. Laura Crawshaw are both committed to offer realistic and reasonable solutions to these messy situations that poison people and companies from the inside out.

Commonly referred to as bosses who bully, their words and actions create interpersonal friction that grates on subordinates, peers, and superiors, grinding away at trust and motivation, inflicting deep wounds, and disrupting the smooth flow of work. The management styles of abrasive leaders include one or more of the following bullying behaviors: overcontrol, overreaction, threats, public humiliation, and/or condescension.

Bonnie and Laura will discuss and take your questions about abrasive leaders and peers:

??What they do

??Why they do it

??What it takes to stop it

??How to tell if you're the bully

??Strategies if it’s happening to you

??How you can help stop the suffering

?

On September 28, we will be exposing all of this and much more. Please share this information with Leaders, HR professionals, Assistants, Recruiters, and anyone else you believe would benefit from an honest conversation about workplace bullying. Join us to be part of the solution to end workplace bullying once and for all.

Beware of mental health companies that they themselves have toxic workplaces. High turnover and allows bad mouthing of other employees behind their backs, lack of support and value other points of view. Unrealistic sales deadlines and poor quality of work.

Sounds great Bonnie! It's a shame how many companies lose good people because of bullying -- and the bullies continue to get away with it because management doesn't do their job (or, the management is the bully).
