Web.com Tour Pro Rick Lamb Hits the Main Stage. PGA Bound!

I'm blazing a new trail towards Health, Wellness, Hospitality and Faith
When it comes to handing out tour cards each year, the PGA is very stingy. Rick Lamb knows this. To qualify for the tour, Rick knew that he'd need to finish the year in the top 25 on the WEB.com tour. He did just that - finish #25.
What's remarkable, however, is the fashion in which he did it.
As had been the case for several prior tournaments this year, Rick needed to play exceptionally well at the Monday qualifier in order to play in the LECOM Health Challenge at Peek'n Peak Resort in western New York. So he shot a 63.
On Sunday, July 10, Rick needed another exceptional performance to put him in contention for what would be his first WEB.com Tour victory. So he shot a 63.
That record-setting round landed him in a four-way tie with some of the tour's top players. On the second hole of a sudden death playoff, Rick chipped in for a birdie, and the Champion's trophy.
That win also earned him a check for $108,000, and a giant step closer to his ultimate goal - the PGA. He would ultimately need a couple more top 10 finishes to earn his card. But he did, and he owes it his gutsy performance in July.
