Big brands and celebreties on Roblox
?? Free coffee from Starbucks
The world's best-known coffee chain has stepped into Roblox with a campaign for the APAC-region. Starbucks has opened four virtual stores in popular Roblox role-playing games Seaboard, Bilberry City, New Smith and Theme Park HeideLand. In those stores users can get free coffee and more virtual items. Beyond that customers that explored a virtual Starbucks store will get a real life customization of their drink and may even qualify for a free drink. Link
Another huge company, 18x Starbucks in terms of market cap, has also started to build on Roblox. Google has launched a website in 2017 called "Be Internet Awesome" that should teach kids about online safety. Now they've brought this initiative to a platform where a huge amount of the target group spends a huge amount of time - Roblox. The “Be Internet Awesome World” offers various mini-games that revolve around topics such as hate, data theft, phishing and security tools against hacker attacks. Players are also able to get UGC including the famous Google Propeller Hat. Link

In football (soccer) bringing your new kit onto Roblox has been a hot topic in this summer, for the start of the 2024/25 seasons. Clubs like Man United, Vfb Stuttgart, Club Brugge, Al-Nassr and many more have enabled fans to show their fandom on one of the most used platforms out there. Now another organization has joined the list, the MLB. The kits of all 30 teams of the league are available on the Roblox marketplace. Link

The German model and TV star has partnered with a Roblox game maker to create Modelverse. It's a fashion experience that is centered around self-expression and body positivity - according to the article. In the game, users can receive exclusive invites to model at virtual events inspired by real-life events like Heidi's famous Halloween party, award shows, and high-fashion events. There they can style their avatar and compete for the best look on the virtual catwalk. Link

Skoda has introduced a new model in their line-up called "Elroq". The launch was accompanied by a set of marketing activities that one would call pretty typical for the automotive industry. However, Skoda's Web3 team also distributed 200 proofs of attendance NFTs for those who watched the livestream of the world premiere. Link
??? Lamborghini launches Fast ForWorld
Another brand from the Volkswagen Group has announced Web3-related news this week. In collaboration with Animoca Brands, respectively its subsidiaries, the Italian car manufacturer has announced a platform where fans, gamers and owners will be able to experiment, play, interact, and collect digital collectibles while also being rewarded for that engagement. Fast ForWorld should serve as a hub for Web3 initiatives. To access the platform, users will have to secure themselves an onchain version of the Lamborghini Revuelto that will not only serve as a key to Fast ForWorld but will also unlock certain rewards. The crypto exchange Bitget has partnered with LaLiga as (one of) their official crypto partner. According to the press release the partnership will enable Bitget to benefit from the massive reach of LaLiga but will also include support for Web3 solutions for the league. This deal seems to be targeted at emerging market regions in Asia and LATAM. Link
