How can the metaverse enhance the shopping experience for the customer?

4 things:

  • Emotion & shopping experience ???
  • Knowledge of the product ??
  • Interaction with the product/brand ??
  • Immersiveness ??


Emotion & shopping experience ???

What kind of emotion goes through you when you purchase something IRL or online? Can you say it's a memorable event?

The real emotion comes when you unpack, when you discover what you've bought.

Pop-up stores are a nice addition to the general experience of making a purchase.

Now imagine the possibilities a virtual shopping experience could bring.

Imagine a world unconstrained by the barriers of reality. Imagine buying that car after driving with it in the metaverse. Imagine buying the christmas tree after seeing it in your living room in augmented reality.

Do you understand the potential? Make the buy mean something.


Knowledge of the product ??

How often do you read the entire description of an item on Amazon?

How much do you really care about the history of the watch you just bought? About its creation?

The metaverse can provide your brand with way more means to present your product to your audience. It can enable you to create experiences around items & collections. It opens a whole new world of storytelling.


Interaction with the product/brand ??

The only interaction you currently have when shopping online is clicking X amount of times on a button...

Not exactly memorable, is it?

Now imagine seeing that same watch assemble itself before your eyes in 3D. Being able to interact with its pieces as you construct it.

Imagine being taken through the creation story of the painting you're buying. Of the book you'll read.

Suddenly, the process of buying becomes just as much fun as the product itself!


Immersiveness ??

Once you get a feel for it, it's not hard to realize how immersive this new experience can be.

Thanks to the latest technology, creating realistic graphics is finally in reach.

Add some VR to the mix and the immersion is complete.

So now, the big question: how do you capitalize on this and why should you?

Why?

The answer is simple: the Metaverse is coming, whether you like it or not. We are building, whether you're looking or not.

Somebody, at some point, is going to notice the potential, and act on it. Some already are..

And when has it ever hurt to be early?


How?

Dive into web3. Educate your brand. Find the real builders with a clear vision and reach out.

And when you'll feel the urge to "gm", you'll know you're ready to take the leap.
