Their web page made me think, “So what?”

I view a few hundred nonprofit websites each month. Unfortunately, so many leave me feeling numb.?

Like recently, when I came across the donation page of a global health nonprofit where I saw,? “Together we make the difference” and a “Donate Now” link. Programs were then spotlighted, including one that “creates a global impact…by creating global volunteer opportunities” in the healthcare field.

Unfortunately, I ended up thinking, “So what?”

What volunteer opportunities did it create? Which problems were addressed and where? What was an example of the impact the volunteers had on healthcare? And how were the lives of those served improved because of the access to care they received???

Asking “So what?” is probably a good exercise for any organization, nonprofit or otherwise. I think it helps to tell not only the story, but the point of the story.
