Web Design: User Interface

Web Design: User Interface

Do not confuse other types of Design with Web Design: they are fundamentally different in terms of specifics and development methods. In many ways, they have common Goals: to create a unique Project Concept and attract Consumers to the Product. However, a Web Designer primarily focuses on Functionality, like a “User Advocate”.

Today in my Article we will talk about why the user interface is so important in the work of Web Design, and also why a web designer is a keeper of traditions and an innovator all rolled into one.?

Tradition and Innovation in Web Design

Have you ever thought about the fact that the Interface Designer for modern and relevant projects on the Internet should anticipate the desires and needs of Users?

Several competencies help a Web Designer in this:

  • Knowledge in the field of consumer psychology;
  • Ability to build a logical and understandable interface;
  • The ability to analyze the product and position it from the favorable side.

However, a Web Designer also has to be innovative: to implement unique Projects and bring something new every time. Developed imagination and a creative mind are the best web design assistant tools that allow a professional to create truly unique products.

A competent specialist in the field of web design is obliged to combine “fire and water”: this is the only way in-demand and relevant services and applications are born.

User Interface

Nevertheless, building a quality user interface remains the main task of a Web Designer. How does a Web Designer achieve full user engagement with an Interface?

  • The User Interface starts with Research: a Web Designer evaluates the market, competitors, and product features to highlight their merits in the Future;
  • A Web Designer knows the principles by which the logic and attention of the consumer works, therefore he develops the structure of User Interaction with the Site: User Journey Map and User flows. They help to better understand what problems and issues Users may face in the Future;
  • The Web Designer conducts Testing: he interviews potential Users of the Product so that the interface meets their needs and desires. Without testing, it is difficult to assess the effectiveness of the product being sold;
  • A Web Designer creates Prototypes - these are various hypotheses that allow you to consider the potential of a Web Product from all angles. Only by comparing them with each other, the Specialist determines the most “mature” and high-quality Source;
  • And also the User Interface Designer monitors the progress of work at all stages: the Web Designer must make sure that all the planned features work as intended.
