When you log into a bank account on line with your id and password in a web browser (Ex. Google Chrome) then your account is officially open. At that point, you do not need to log in again unless your session times out with no keyboard or mouse clicks from you for a specified amount of time.
If you switch to another web browser and do not close the first one then it is still active and is an easy target for hackers.
Always do two things before getting out of a web browser to preserve your web browser security.
- Logout of your online bank account or whatever accounts you logged into (Ex. Kohl's Credit Card Account).
- Close the browser.
Have a great day!
