Think of a strategy as a unified piece of fabric, of which the material’s strength and durability emblematize the strategy's resilience and ability to withstand challenges.

Warp (The Vertical Threads) represents the core business model of an organization, where these vertical threads provide the foundation and structure, depicting the bedrock for businesses, yet it remains constant. Whereas, ?the weft (the horizontal threads) represents the external environment. Those horizontal threads interweave with the core business model, representing how external factors like market conditions, competition, and customer behaviour interact with and influence the business.

Embellishments, symbolize areas of focus, innovation, or key differentiators within the strategy. These also represent the adaptability of the strategy to technological disruptions.

Tension of the Fabric, the strength of the fabric reflects the resilience of the strategy. The more robust the weave, the more resilient and flexible the strategy, enabling it to endure and adapt to volatile markets.
