BE WEARY OF THOSE WHO, WHEN THEY ARE GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS, FAIL TO TAKE NOTES!
The passage, ‘The hand of the diligent makes rich’ (Proverbs 10:4), reminds us to be warry of those who don’t consider what we’re saying important enough to write down because, even if their intentions are good, in their busyness or overconfidence our instructions can easily be forgotten. In other words, we should be concerned when people fail to take notes when we give instructions. So let the knowledge that: 1) The unlearned and uncommitted tend to trust their memory with everything, but the shortest pencil is still better than the longest memory; 2) Follow-through people always ask additional questions about the assignment and instructions given to them; and 3) Those who say, ‘I’ll try to get to it,’ usually don’t, teach you to only give instructions to those who are qualified to receive and implement them!FG.
