Wearing a Mask
A mask if not properly used might not give you the protection you think you are getting.
So much is going on in these last few days concerning this super bug, I am seeing it in my travels. In the last few days I have been in different airports and I honestly can say I usually see at least two people wearing a face mask in ever airport I am in ( on average) ; now granted in some I do not see any, the smaller regional airports. Well, it has changed a lot; I have seen over two dozen people wearing masks on an average in the airports I have been in the last three days (three different airports).
Now I wanted to take pictures but I did not (I think you know why) ; what I am upset about is not people wearing masks , it is they have no idea how to wear them or put them on properly. Any of us who have worked in an OR; on a floor with isolations know just having a mask on is not enough it must fit right, and you must know how to put it on and wear it. Maybe somebody can do a nice funny video and it can go “virial” on social media, so people can see the right and wrong way to not only wear one but how to put it on.
We must remember to do the simple things, from hand washing, covering our mouth when we sneeze, and all the other basic stuff.
An yes, the real gross stuff, I still see men not washing their hands ,…I will leave it at that .
Below you will find various links on articles I found interesting they are not only on the “superbugs”; read the one on water, it made me think.
Being from Michigan, a link about the “China Super Bug” might be in my state.
I know we are all busy but when you have some downtime, I hope you will check the links out.
Remember “Keep it Clean”.
