Hubbis - Maximising the Opportunities around Next Gen Wealth Management in Asia
Earlier this month we participated on a panel which focused on the needs and expectations of the next generations of Asia’s private clients. Central to the debate was how private banks and independent wealth management providers can tailor their offerings and the approach to retain and/or attract those clients, and how they can maximise the opportunities ahead, for those clients and for their own businesses.?
The Hubbis roundtable discussions revealed that while many Asians are highly educated, conforming to the industry’s young, driven and entrepreneurially minded stereotype, this is not always the case. The wealth transfer can place a significant burden on families who fail to cultivate the right mindset.?Hence, the industry needs to understand and address the key differences between the generations to develop value, trust and a pull-together attitude.?
Gabriel Chan , Head of Asia Pacific for Wealth Dynamix, described it as a fantastic opportunity for firms. Describing the Next Gen as “digital natives, born on the web, seeking engagement on their own terms”, he put forward that many of the region’s banks need to fully equip themselves to engage with them.
Enhancing the Efficiency of the Relationship Manager
Gabriel Chan was joined by a panel of experts who debated the various ways in which Relationship Managers will continue to be central to the delivery of technology enhanced capabilities and the delivery of productive client relationships in the Asian wealth management industry.
In short, the wealth industry is future-focusing itself and helping empower the RM community with the right strategies and the optimal digital tools and solutions so that they can deliver the best versions of themselves and the banks and wealth firms they represent.?
But how is this coming together and is progress moving at the right pace? The experts who sat on the panel this summer had plenty of insights into all these matters.
