So in the 2nd step, we are going to take a look at;

Now, how on earth do I know my client. I want to know what motivates them?

Right, so let me give you a quick introduction. There are 2 ways to know your client. To know what motivates them.

The first one is with a one-to-one consultation.

Now I`m not big on one-to-one consultations anymore. But I promise you for 18 years. This was my job.

On the internet, there is another way. If you`ve got a list. Or a big database, not even a big one. I can use free tools. Software like Surveymonkey.com

It is 100% for free, and the amount of information that you can get from SurveyMonkey is absolutely unreal. You will love that tool. Of course, there are more sophisticated tools, which you need to pay for.

But on level 1, you do not really want to pay for anything because you want to keep the risk down. Perfect.

Right, now the responses that you are going to get from the private consultation or surveymonkey. That is going to lead you in order to create what to sell.

In other words to create your product. Because you are going to know beforehand, what it is that these people want. And that to me is essential. So there are 4 basic questions.

That I want before I start this process.

And the Questions are;

What is it that my customer or my market, what is it that they need?

So the first question...

1. What do they need?

the 2nd question then is;

2. What do they want?

and the 3rd thing that I want to know is;

3. What are they scared of? In other words, what on earth do they fear?

And then the 4th thing that I want to know is their greed factor.

4. What makes them move forward? What motivates them to do something more than the normal.

Now let me tell you what I`ve discovered over the last 25 years. In terms of these 4 points.

Everyone needs certain things. But unless they want that, they are not going to get it. And I`ve got first-hand experience. I`ve sold life insurance for many many years. Normal life insurance, endowment policies that sort of stuff.

Now I can promise you that specifically life insurance. Every single person, if you are married and you`ve got a family. Or if you are in business and you are in partnerships. Or if you bought a house. You need life insurance.

But you know what. People don't want that. And because of that, it is very difficult to sell life insurance. Also, people think or hope they are never going to die. We all know that one day we are all going to pass on, and we need it. But people would rather take an endowment policy or unit trust or a retirement annuity. Than a life policy. Because they are not going to get any benefit. But in terms of society, and the people you love it is important.

So when you`ve got a choice to market your product. Or to develop a product. Make sure that you develop something that the market wants. Not what they need. Because especially if you are an expert, you are going to think that... flip, they need this. They must have it.

No, no, no... they are not going to take their money out of their pocket and pay you. Unless they want it. Right, so it is a huge tip.

If you are on a level 1, it doesn't make sense. Just trust me, it is the way that it works.

The 2nd thing is;

What drives a person most? What motivates you most?

To lose something, or to gain something? Now initially I thought that it would motivate a person to get something additional. You know put in 2 hours or 5 hours of additional time per day or week and create something, and get it.

But that's not the way that it works, nothing when it comes to making money is logical. Absolutely nothing.

So people will put more effort in, and it will motivate them more when they know. Listen this is not going to happen. Someone is going to take this away from me. So if you`ve got the choice to work an hour longer. And to make an additional R1000 or Dollars. Or you have to work an hour longer or they are going to take a R1000 or Dollars out of your salary or out of your income.

I promise you that more people will be motivated to say, ok I`ll do the extra hour, but please that, that I`ve already got. So I think that is important in terms of what motivates them.

Right, now I want to give you another tip. And I hope that you enjoy these tips.

This huge market out there. First of all, I do not want to please all of the people, especially when you start off on a level 1 business. You want to bring a general product out, that everyone wants or everyone needs.

Don't do that.

Go more specific. Once you`ve got the core then you can bring it out. The next thing that I think is important. And that is more to do with the mental side. The mindsets.

What I want to tell you is that you are not going to please everyone. You can have the best product, the best service on the planet earth. You are not going to please everyone. It`s a fact of life.

I don't know how it works. But if you`ve got that mentality right from the word go. It is going to save you a lot of time. So the more specific you can be in your niché. The more targeted you can be online as well as offline.

The more successful you are going to be.

Right, for me personally in the Wealth Creators University. It is people that are willing to transform from an opportunity seeker to a wealth creator. Like perhaps you.

But I can tell you that there are very few people like you on this planet earth. And by now you should know that.

So it is not a huge market. But it can become a very lucrative market, on the condition that I can give them what they want and well what they are willing to pay for.

Ok, whenever you develop a product. Keep in mind that you cannot please everyone. There will be comebacks. As well as focus, focus, focus.

And make sure that you understand that specific market.
