In a sense,?this is a book about what travel should really be for all of us, but it especially highlights the extraordinary opportunity travel is for our young folk and parents in teaching values, empathy and responsibility.

I also enjoyed the advice to ‘expose children early to things that interest you’, using technology, such as web cams etc.,??to inspire and create some knowledge about the experiences and places before departure. This is not just pertinent to travel,??but to the creation of curious, life-long learners. With the growth in intergenerational travel, the timing of Are We There Yet? - Travelling More Responsibly With Your Children, is spot on!?
