IF WE ARE WILLING AND OBEDIENT, WE SHALL EAT THE GOOD OF THE LAND!

The passage, ‘If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land’ (Isaiah 1:19 NKJV), serves to reminds us of how, King Henry III of Bavaria in the eleventh century, who became tired of his responsibilities, applied to the head of a local monastery to spend the rest of his life in prayer and meditation only to be advised to go back and serve faithfully in the place where God had put him, which he did and after his death, had this statement written in his honour, ‘The king learned to rule by being obedient’. In other words, if we are willing and obedient, we shall eat the good of the land. So let the knowledge that: 1) Obeying God leads to peace, progress, protection, and promotion; 2) But we can chose to live by our own impulses or live according to the instructions that He has given us in His Word; and 3) We can also choose to go according to our own best thinking, or submit ourselves to the rule and the leading of the Holy Spirit who lives in us; teach you, knowing He has good things in mind for you this year, to always do what He says!FG. www.fgtalks.com
