We welcome Lee Hsieh, Senior Vice President of kineo finance LLC, USA

Lee, you recently joined kineo finance LLC in the US as Senior Vice President. The whole kineo team welcomes you. Can you introduce yourself in a few sentences?

Born in San Francisco Bay Area, raised in Taiwan, and later on with the opportunity to live and work in many places across Asia and the US, truly built up my strong curiosity and appreciation for different cultures. Grew up in the Science Park in Taiwan, where some of the tech giants in the semiconductor and electronics industries were born, and surrounded by many tech visionaries, also helped cultivate my high level of respect for innovators. In my professional career so far, I’ve had the good fortune to be part of teams that built and scaled up businesses from a very early stage, as well as invest in and join the journey of numerous entrepreneurs to tackle hard problems, bringing cutting edge technologies to the market, something that continues to energize me everyday.

Why did you decide to work at kineo? What appealed to you in particular?

I felt really blessed to be able to join the kineo team. During my early interactions with kineo, I was drawn to the team’s diverse background in equity and debt investing, leasing, business building, and cross-sector expertise. I was also deeply attracted by its collaborative atmosphere, and dedication to help startups succeed. kineo’s tailor-made venture leasing and working capital solutions fill a gap that I observed from many hardware startups during its ramp-up phases over the years. Its innovative approach, coupled with its broad industry network and knowledge, makes kineo an ideal partner to entrepreneurs and their equity investors alike.

What do you like to do most in your free time?

Whenever I’m not on the road, I enjoy spending time with my family – my fabulous wife, two children, our dog Jessie, as well as immersing in the great outdoor that Northern California has to offer, whether going on biking trips, or discovering new places for SUP or Kayaking along the coast. Whenever there’s opportunity I also love to explore the wine country.
