Hey everyone, I’m Diego Leporini, the founder and CEO of AirKitchenz AI, and I’ve got some exciting news to share with you—we’re launching very soon! This isn’t just another startup. This is something that’s going to shake up the food industry, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it.
Let me take you back to 2017, a really tough time for me. I had just shut down my last brick-and-mortar restaurant, and I was flat broke. Seriously, I didn’t have a single dollar to my name. I had to start from scratch, cooking out of my one-bedroom apartment and figuring out catering orders just to get by. I knew I needed a real kitchen, but the thought of spending all that money on equipment, dealing with government bureaucracy, and facing those crazy build-out costs? No way—I just couldn’t do it.
So, I took a different approach. I basically went door to door, restaurant to restaurant, asking if I could rent their kitchen space during their off-hours. And to my surprise, out of 10 restaurants I approached, eight said yes. They needed the cash, and I was like, “Oh, there’s something here.” That’s when the idea really took shape, although I didn’t fully realize its potential at the time. This was my way to get my business up and running without the usual massive startup costs, and it worked. I managed to operate multiple catering locations using this simple but effective model.
Fast forward to about a year ago, and something clicked. Someone pointed out that my approach was pretty innovative, and that got me thinking—this isn’t just a workaround; this could be a whole new business model. I realized I could help other people do exactly what I did. I’d already been sharing kitchen spaces with restaurants, guiding others, and watching them start their own food businesses. But I knew it could be bigger. Much bigger.
So, earlier this year, I decided to go all in. I mean, 24/7, fully committed to making this happen. Because here’s the thing: the restaurant industry is brutal. About 80% to 90% of restaurants close within the first two years. It’s the costs—build-outs, labor, licenses, all the bureaucratic BS. It’s a daymare. And that’s where AirKitchenz comes in. We’re here to change the game.

For the restaurants, we want to offer a new way to make money—rent out their kitchens during off-hours. I get it; not everyone is going to be on board right away. Some owners might think, “I don’t want anyone else in my kitchen.” But look, every groundbreaking idea faces pushback. Remember when Airbnb and Uber started? Nobody thought we’d end up relying on those services like we do now. I believe AirKitchenz can make a similar impact.
On the flip side, we’re here for the small food businesses, the startups, and the entrepreneurs. We want to take away those massive upfront costs and give them a real shot at testing their ideas. You can see if your concept works without losing your shirt over it. The food business is tough. Trust me, I’ve been there—I’ve opened over 20 restaurants, and I know how brutal it can be. But with AirKitchenz, it doesn’t have to be that way.
I’m really proud of the team we’ve built. Right now, everyone is working for free, all in on this vision to transform the food industry. We’ve got some awesome AI tools coming that’ll help get businesses up and running in no time. We’re building something special here, something that’s going to change how food businesses are started and operated.
So keep your eyes open. AirKitchenz is on the way, and we’re set to revolutionize the food industry. We’re creating new opportunities for small businesses, startups, and anyone with a dream to cook.
Let’s make it happen—one kitchen at a time.
