WE WANT TO KNOW HOW YOU FEEL, NOT WHAT 'THEY' THINK...

As businesses grapple with what re-opening and its different phases actually mean, a lot of focus has been on what the government will allow or that businesses just want to open now, but we think it's more important for us to know how our customers FEEL about getting back to large gatherings or just some semblance or normalcy).

So we sent out this note and survey to our community...

Dear Friends:

We hope this missive finds you and yours well and taking advantage of whatever gifts this time of Social Distancing has on offer. We know this has been a challenging and often frustrating situation for many, with work and school disruptions and no group riding. While we don't have any real sense of when things might change as it relates to hosting events, we do know USAC will be permitting events starting June 1 and that certain states and counties are opening up to events now.

While it is important what the cities and counties will allow, it’s more important for us to know what YOU want, regardless of a county’s openness to mass gatherings. So, we want to gauge how YOU feel about all this and when YOU will be comfortable to get back to riding in a pack.

We are asking riders to share with us how they’ve been affected by the pandemic. We’d like to know how to create the safest environment possible when we do get back to what we love doing.

We would be delighted if you could spare two minutes to complete this survey. Your responses will be anonymous and the results will help inform when we come back and how we go about creating the best experience for all.

I share this in the hope it might help how you engage and listen to your customers.

Share with us here! The survey will close on Friday, May 22.

Michael , the virus is real , it’s potentially deadly for many . Let science dictate what the next steps should be .

Data is critical in making sound decisions. Not just emotions.? So thanks for asking the ?'s. I'm curious on the results.?

I think they should have held the Tour De France in July like always -- September it can snow in there -- trust me on this lived in Paris and have ridden every one of those stage routes :)

I would like for people to consider that it is very often in life that our personal decisions impact other people. The entire world is a community. In a situation like this, the personal risks one person accepts can impact dozens of others who do not accept that risk. I would also like people to take a breath and realize how terribly black and white we have allowed this conversation to become. Its not a question of beating the disease OR supporting our jobs. We have to do both; showing empathy for both those medically impacted and those financially impacted. And on a semi-serious side note. You will all miss getting to ride with this few cars on the road. I've done rides I would never dream of just because it was finally safe.
