For This, We Unite

Notice how easy it is for us to unite against things?

The Democrats are united against the Republicans, the blacks are united against the whites, the baristas are united against their employer, and Americans are united against Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

Hopefully soon we'll understand that the best thing we can do is be united around positive things.

If we're still doing things the way we used to, it means we don't get what this transition is about. The multiple unfolding crises such as shortages, viruses, deteriorating mental health, wars and natural disasters, are pushing us to shift from uniting in an egoistic manner, to uniting in an altruistic manner.

Why don't we jump to unite for things? Because we're still at the beginning of this transition and can't see the whole picture. Hopefully soon we'll understand that the best thing we can do is be united around positive things.

I'm shocked to see so many Jewish people coming out of the woodwork to remind everyone that they're Jewish, and post about Kanye West losing his Adidas partnership. It would be great to see American Jews united for a change. It would be really good for them, and for the whole world.
