WE TRAIN OTHERS HOW TO TREAT US BY HOW WE TREAT OURSELVES!
The passage, ‘He heals the broken-hearted’ (Psalm 147:3), reminds those of us trying to recover from broken relationships that, some hurts take a long time to heal and as we become healthy we will begin to make healthy choices. So, rather than rush into another one or be discouraged, we should give God a chance, take time to search His Word and find out how He feels about us, for that is the true basis of all self-worth. In other words, if He can love and accept us with full knowledge of our imperfections, we have no reason to be hard on ourselves. So let the knowledge that: 1) God has new relationships in store for us, but He is waiting for our values, perceptions and self-worth line up with His Word; 2) Sometimes we have got to give up less so that He can give us more; and 3) We train others how to treat us by how we treat ourselves; teach you, next time around, to make sure your choices are healthy ones and not based solely on need or the fear of being alone!FG. www.fgtalks.com
