HOW DID CHIMERA DESIGN COME TO BE?

Our journey began at Rhode Island School of Design, where we pursued our BFAs in Interior Architecture and instantly connected. Daisy’s structured inventiveness complements Amanda’s boundless creativity, fostering a collaboration that has only grown stronger over time. Together, we've nurtured and elevated each other's ideas, pushing the boundaries of our creativity. Now, after years of refining our skills, we're thrilled to embark on our most significant creative endeavor yet: the launch of Chimera Design.

Chimera Design is an otherworldly place we have carefully built to house our intertwined visions, aptitudes, and values within the design world. Our studio focuses on blending our expertise in evidence-based design, spatial installations, custom-built furniture, fine art, and a deep-rooted practice in Interior Architecture. We work closely with independent artisans, thoughtful fabricators, and skilled trades to bring our creative visions to life, ensuring each project reflects our commitment to quality craftsmanship and innovative design. We take pride in incorporating emerging artists and independent furniture designers, recognizing their invaluable contributions to our projects.

Before merging, we've had the privilege of designing a diverse range of spaces. Our collaborative portfolio includes healthcare institutions, private practices, therapy offices, high-end residencies in prestigious locations like Martha's Vineyard, and retail experiences. Rooted in a human-centered approach, each project prioritizes sustainable materials and forward-thinking design elements. As Chimera, our recent endeavors include the design of a high-end office space in Manhattan, NY.

We've always found that collaborating closely, workshopping ideas, and drawing from our design roots fosters a dynamic and fruitful environment. We're drawn to a vast range of projects, both large and small, with unique clientele who have a story to tell or niche interests to explore.
