We thought it would be relatively flat - well honestly, how many rivers flow up hill?

Earlier in the year the staff at Lloyds Bank voted to support Mental Health UK as our National Charity Partner. As part of the support we committed to raise ￡2m which would be used on a number of projects across the 4 national charities that form Mental Health UK - these include Hafal which undertakes tremendous work in local communities in Wales - check out their website - https://www.hafal.org/

Now that the pleasant summer weather is out of the way it's naturally time for the W2 BDM Team to step up (!) and do it's bit toward the fund raising effort by completing the Taff Trail (55 miles from Brecon to Cardiff) in 2 days. The team are presently getting some badly needed rest in Merthyr having completed day 1 yesterday. It is fair to say that those of us expecting a relatively flat (well it's following a river for goodness sake) were both surprised and delighted to find the challenge presented by 9 hours of yomping up hill and down dale. Day 2 evidently will be a lot kinder for those nursing dodgy ankles, knees, hips, hamstrings, quads or blisters - it quite literally all down hill from here.....
