We take on responsibility ??
Today's newsletter is all about sustainability and corporate responsibility.
It's not just our products that are sustainable, we're also constantly doing something good for our employees: we provide fresh fruit and vegetables twice a week, and we also stay fit with regular table tennis matches and most of us also go to the gym, for which we pay an additional fee on top.
Having a positive impact on society and the environment is very important to us at CarMedialab. That is why we would like to give you an insight into our CSR report today: It documents our progress, challenges and goals in the area of the ESG criteria Environmental, Social and Governance.
We hope this newsletter will encourage you, for example, to hop on your bike again next time instead of taking the car. Or to buy a reusable water bottle. Do you have further ideas on how we can work step by step towards a common, sustainable future?
Enjoy reading and see you next time!

??Did you know?
When deciding whether a vehicle is environmentally friendly, not only the vehicle's emissions are taken into account, but also other factors such as environmental pollution during production and disposal as well as the impact of the fuel.
As a result, cars with small batteries in particular are rated as environmentally friendly. A purely petrol-powered car did not make it into the top 12. The front runner is the Toyota Prius Prime SE - a plug-in hybrid. It is followed by the Lexus RZ 300e, Mini Cooper SE, Nissan Leaf and Toyota bZ4X. We at CarMedialab also rely on an electric or hybrid vehicle fleet, as can be seen from our recently published CSR report.
??Termination of funding opens up questions
Climate-neutral city buses and trucks are considered a promising solution for drastically reducing pollutant emissions in inner-city traffic. The promotion of these vehicles is an important incentive for companies to invest in the development and use of environmentally friendly technologies. Electric drives and other alternative drive systems help to improve air quality in cities and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
However, the decision to discontinue this funding raises questions and is met with criticism from environmentalists, industry and politicians. Advocates of a sustainable transport policy argue that the discontinuation of funding represents a setback for efforts to achieve climate targets. They emphasize the need to continue investing in climate-friendly technologies and to create incentives for companies to develop and use environmentally friendly vehicles
Overall, the discontinuation of funding for climate-neutral city buses and trucks in Germany shows the complexity and challenges on the road to a sustainable transport transition. A balanced strategy is needed that takes into account both short-term and long-term goals and reconciles the various interests and concerns of the stakeholders involved. In our opinion, this is the only way to achieve sustainable mobility that is both ecologically and economically viable.
