Can I be transparent with you? Okay, before I share, let's for a moment set aside that I am an accomplished leader with awards and an extensive career in corporate America, and I have repeatedly led teams to achieve millions in sales. Set aside the fact that I have written six other books. Forget that I speak at conferences and can walk up to a stranger and converse like we are lifelong friends. Despite all these accomplishments, none of these things made me as nervous as asking someone to write the foreword for my book. Why? Because my leadership journey was contained in the pages of Women Who Lead: Navigating a Path of Influence and Success. My victories, and yes, my failures, were there for the world to read and form an opinion.
