We are as strong as our weakest link!
We would have heard many of times "We are as strong as our weakest link" and could relate this sayings in different walks of life , but in our day to day life we keep ignoring many of our weakest links , may it be not so smart member in the Team , may it be average IQ member in the extended family , may it be our own skill set . we don't even give attention how much it cost us in long run !
Balancing the weakest link is equally important as honing our strength , have we ever observed what is our weakest link and how we could bring it up to the optimum strength? we always tend to play with our strength and trying to excuse for every weakest link which requires our urgent attention !
I am sharing few of my observation
1) Our strength of a being a great data cruncher / subject matter specialist but "weakest Link" of not having enough ability to tell the story behind and irony is that most of the time we don't want to work on this weakest part as we only rely upon the " strength" to cover this up
,Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak both have co-founded the "Apple " rather say Wozniak had shaped the idea into reality but most of the population relate Steve "solely" with Apple
2) We are good with people and delegation but have "weakest link" as lacking in depth understanding of technical part : many of us are amazing in our interpersonal skill but not paying enough heed to improve knowledge in the technical aspects as we think delegation and good people management would be suffice
but there are several instances where not knowing by oneself and be completely dependent on few of team members lead the environment of favoritism and fear of work remain undone
3) We are idealist but looing out on mindset of "LET GO" : its really to great to be idealist but our mental health also demands for embracing the skill of " LET GO" in this fast paced demanding world
Lets embrace the balancing act and don't let the weakest link to engulf the glory of our strength
