Are We Still Thinking as a Human Race? Are We Aware That Thinking is Supreme to Knowing? Universities are Abused! University Educations is Misused.

In the 21st Century, it is crazy that 95 percent of humans are still not fully utilising their God-given gifts. They are still not able to get the best out of their genetic potential and they have are still failing to awaken to their untapped potential do to greater things that they are doing now. I don’t who it is and what level of success or failure! The global situation is bad; it’s terrible. Humans have been woodwinked and blindfolded by the current formal education system to think that the knowledge and the certified qualifications that they get from is the most important reason for going to school. So we have some many people who go to school learn for up to fourteen years of formal education and go back to people with high sounding academic titles and brilliant certificates but sliding very thin not only on the knowledge that they acquired in the 18 years of education, but on general, broad and deep knowledge that makes the most useful person in the world. Research after research shows that within just two years after getting our educational qualifications at any level, we have forgotten as much as 80 percent of what we learned. The results is we become very dangerous high titled, highly certified people of little knowledge in the areas we are certified and in general knowledge the universe possesses. Many people’s educational certificates-based knowledge certificates become empty gongs. Worse still, most of us never read much post our academic qualifications and we attend many post-education training and educational programs that fail to deliver justice and this is all in research findings. This cannot continue to be tolerated.
?
?Most people do not realise that what they learned in their diplomas and degrees is not all the knowledge there is in what they learned in the universe. That is a very small drop in the ocean compared to what exists. In nonSTEM disciplines what we learn in school and in universities is not always the cutting edge or the leading edge. Besides what much of what we learn in schools needs a lot of further mental and intellectual work to be directly usable in the real world. In schools we rarely get solutions but general knowledge.
We, as a race, are facing a myriad of challenges and problems that are growing and becoming more complicated to solve. But have you ever wondered how it is possible that the more educated people the world produces through our global education system, the more we create more problems and the even more we are failing to solve the problems? Does it make sense to you? I does not make sense to me at all! None! We have been doing this for years and we continue doing it in spite of the call the change! Here is what we must do to stop self-sabotaging ourselves
Let’s Stop Abusing the Universities
In my thinking, universities must never be places to produce workforce for the world’s industry and commerce the way the world has made them. Universities must be places on learning, research, exploration and enquiry to produce thinkers, intellectual researchers and philosophers and scientists without any expectation that they will become part and parcel of the industry, commerce, social and economic workforce. It is a gross abuse the university to turn it into a workforce manufacturing factory. This business of producing workforce for industry, commerce, society and economies must be relegated to another institution akin to technikoms. Live the university to aspriging and actual philosophers, thinkers, academics, intellectuals and researchers please. Please! Please! Please! I beg you those in authority everyone.
You may accuse other things for creating the global social, environmental, economic and developmental challenges we face to other factors such as global and local politics, or lack of resources and other things, but I will say this is catastrophic fundamental attributional error. Let me say this;
1.?????? We have comprised universities by imposing on them the expectation to produce workers and not academics, intellectuals, philosophers, researchers and thinkers. The results is we have killed our capacity to produce enough academic, intellectuals, researchers and thinkers and overproduced knowledgists whose original thinking has been severely compromised.
2.?????? We have created the false narrative of some some educational disciplines being more important than others based on social prestige, job prestige and salary and hence lured the majority of students into disciplines in which they lack the greatest potential, or interest. In Zimbabwe, I now find it very interesting that students that have the highest academic points are lured into disciplines such as medicine, accounts, engineering and some faculties such as arts and science are seen as receiving vessels for the imagined academic whey after the cream has been collected by “more important” disciplines and faculties. It is a very big mistake I tell you. I am wondering what those set up our globa educational system where thinking.
3.?????? Because the university education system has been abused to be a bridge to career wise, the students, the university authorities and the open society impose a very strong expectation that after graduation, the students are now ‘ready and qualified” to look for employment and to get jobs. You see now! Education is now all about getting a certificate and then go and get a job. Honestly, why do we abuse people and the universities like this? Why do we reduce the value of learning and university education to being a mere means for getting jobs and earing money? You see now, with this very few people who go to university learn much; they just learn enough to pass and not improve their thinking, to solve problems and to explore knowledge.
4.?????? Now the power of? universities has been further adulterated by being seen as centres of knowledge and excellence and what not. They have also been undermined by being forced to get students by promising bright career futures and all that commercial staff. Look, I think the university system was hijacked and it is now under slavery. Lets fight to liberate this system and see how faster we will solve all the problems we face!

Let’s Stop Blaming the Universities for Crimes They Have Not Committed
I have heard several times some people, including some that I expected to have known better, blaming universities for producing useless graduates or for producing employees instead of employers and all that interesting stuff. My goodness! You highjack universities from their core purpose and frog-march them to serve the interests of industry, commerce and society and then you turn around and start pointing fingers at them for failing to do what they must not be doing at all in the first place? Universities that are supposed to liberate the mental, academic and intellectual potential of students?
I have no problem with the world setting up institutions to produce people to work in the industry, commerce, society and economic endeavours. It is important but let’s not call such institution a university. I repeat,
Universities must focus on producing academics, intellectuals, thinkers, philosophers and researchers without an expectations that these people must, or will, become leaders, management and professionals in formal industry and commerce and economies. I mean their curriculum must not point to jobs and careers but towards a life of research, enquiry, problem-solving, solutions development, pushing knowledge boundaries, thinking, innovation, creating new knowledge , imagination and improving things from where they are at any given time.
Let’s Putting Thinking and Knowledge in Their Right Places
Today’s society operates on the model that says knowledge is the most important factor to consider in assessing humans. They claim that knowledge is the most important power humans need to achieve goals and solve problems. This is why most of our jobs emphasise certified knowledge of things as a major criteria for hiring and employing people. Thinking never features at all in 905% of the times and when it features it is taken as a nice to have not the main hiring criteria. ?
Many people still need to recognise the importance of learning, training and developing in thinking. Our thinking is predominantly either automatic or semi-automatic and we never pay serious attention to how we think. Universities teach knowledge and training in technical skills, and few if any have full blown courses in thinking and metathinking except for psychology students who get at least some access to the field, but again, not in a way that helps everyone but mostly “psychology practitioners” in their various sub-domains and mostly in dealing with human psychological malfunctions instead of helping humans improve their thinking and in getting the best out of their brains.
I am trying to interest many decision-makers to consider investing in training, education and development in thinking and thinking management but very few very interested and most actually express surprise why I am doing that instead of focusing on other more important areas.
If universities continue to focus on knowledge while ignoring thinking things will get worse before they explode.
Let’s Unite for a Revolutions to Change Things
Lets work together and push for a radical shift. We need a new paradigm now, not tomorrow.

1 周Thinking should start from kindergarten up to university level. We see learned Engineers who are failing even to solve our own electricity problems yet they claim to be learned.
