We Stand Proud with our Community

Beyond just writing a check, we believe in rolling up our sleeves and getting involved in substantial ways that make a difference. We also believe strongly in supporting other businesses and organizations which share the same vision: that by joining forces, we can make stronger contributions to society as a whole.

One example is a project that was months in the making, and which finally came to fruition just yesterday. At a ceremony observed first at the local Holy Rosary School in Idaho Falls, and then again at the Idaho Falls City Council meeting later in the evening, I stood as President & CEO at Bank of Idaho to honor Idaho Falls Police Sergeant Pat McKenna for his service to and his love for our community. Sergeant McKenna and the whole department, really, demonstrate selflessness in service and a commitment to serving in a way that brings the community together. The heroic way in which these fine men and women serve clearly demonstrates the love they have for their community.

To honor Sergeant McKenna and his fellow officers, Bank of Idaho joined forces with Pat Tucker, organizer of the Cady Tucker Run in the Spirit, to place an AED Defibrillator at Holy Rosary School. The unit is to be placed within the school cafeteria with a plaque that reads: "Sergeant Patrick McKenna Of the Idaho Falls Police Department *** In honor of his commitmentto duty as an officer and his unwavering dedication to the safety and well-being of the community, Bank of Idaho hereby presents this AED Device. *** Dated this 24th day of May, 2018. Presented by Jeff Newgard, CEO, Bank of Idaho."

It was an honor for me to represent Bank of Idaho in extending our sincere gratitude and appreciation for the work these fine men and women do. I especially want to acknowledge Sergeant Pat McKenna for being a force for good and constantly striving to achieve better community relations with the citizens of Idaho Falls. My hat is off to you!
