April suffered severe head injuries in a car accident and the front third of her skull was shattered and removed. Real virtuality allowed surgeons at Melbourne's Alfred Hospital to plan surgery and reconstruct April's cranium in this amazing video.

If own bone was not used, I'm sure this Australian case would have utilised an Australian-made Anatomics PoreStar HPDE patient specific implant or AnatomicsAcrylic patient specific implant.

The skull was reconstructed with the patient's own bone.
