We Shall Overcome!
As the World slowly gathers the courage to limp back to normalcy, the Government deals with somewhat of a "Sophie's choice" of decisions. Not an easy one to make and I don't envy the ones who have to make it.
Presumably, it will get worse before it gets better, everyone knows and expects that, but a cautious optimism is in the air and for good reason. Amid mounting economic turmoil, the decision has been made to cautiously reopen, to keep operations going while minimizing the risk to employees.
Here’s what you must know about getting back to work at Altruist Technologies.
Do not get complacent about Covid-19 - Don't take things lightly, it's just what Corona wants you to do. Never forget the sacrifices we made during the last few months, being vigilant will help us avoid a second wave and help the authorities manage the situation much better.
Put safety first - Always err on the side of caution, undergo the mandatory temperature checks at the entrance by the security - do not avoid it. Wash your hands thoroughly and often before entering your work station. Bring your own water bottles to avoid drinking water from a common glass and don't forget to sanitize your mobile phone!
Accept the Change - Wear a mask at all times, and cover your face with your elbow, while sneezing or coughing. Maintain Social distancing at all times, both within and outside the work place, and avoid meeting in large groups - especially during lunch breaks.
and lastly,
Download the Aarogya Setu app - The guidelines by the Government, includes a directive, which makes it mandatory for all public and private sector office employees to download the Aarogya Setu app. The app tries to determine the risk if one has been near (within six feet of) a COVID-19 - infected person, by scanning through a database of known cases across India. It can also determine whether the location you're in belongs to one of the infected areas based on the data available. The app is currently available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
We must adjust our habits to meet the demands of the pandemic, a small price to pay to beat the unseen enemy that's terrorizing the world.
And, I do believe the Indomitable Human Spirit will emerge out of this successfully. As Humans we do more than just survive, We thrive. Over the centuries, we've triumphed in too many ways to count. This newest pandemic throws out our latest challenge - and we shall overcome!
