We are searching for Volunteers for 2 months of work in Yumbe!
World Vision (Led), Catholic Relief Services and CARE International are implementing Regreening project in Yumbe district. The objective of the project is to improve food security, livelihoods, and community resilience to climate-related shocks and stresses in Yumbe District. PALM Corps is supporting CARE International in implementing gender and disability inclusion as well as natural resource governance activities on the project.

PALM Corps is seeking for services of two volunteers described below to support the project for two months when the project staff are on leave:
?
1.???? Community Development volunteer (one position)
He /she will work collaboratively with CARE International and other partners to ensure the active participation of women and persons with disabilities in the project. His/her roles will specifically include:
?????? i.????????? Mentor and coach male role models on the participation of women and persons with disability.
????? ii.????????? Organize meetings with disability leaders and stakeholders to implement action plans for addressing barriers limiting the participation of persons with disability in community activities.
???? iii.????????? Support women and persons with disability to participate in international days to enhance advocacy on their participation in community activities.
??? iv.????????? Facilitate quarterly dialogue meetings with disability and women groups to review action plans drawn on improving their participation and reflect on the best practices and challenges.
Qualification:
·??????? At least a diploma is humanities and community development courses.
·??????? About 6 months of experience in similar work
·??????? Ability to work in a community with diverse backgrounds and ability to learn very fast.

2.???? Environment and Natural Resources Management Volunteer (one position)
Broadly, he/she will be responsible for supporting the implementation of CARE led environment and natural resources related activities, working closely with the Community Development Officer (CDO) to ensure gender transformation and disability inclusion.
i)???????????????? Supporting Community Based Facilitators in integration of Natural resources management by established structures (farmer groups)
ii)??????????????? Ensure implementation of Natural Resources management plans developed by women groups and PWDs.
iii)????????????? Link farmer groups to other partners to ensure natural resource management, gender mainstreaming and disability inclusion.
iv)???????????? Support the community Development Officer in strengthening functionality of established structures and establish where they are not.
Qualification:
·??????? At least At least Diploma in environmental sciences and forestry or related fields
·??????? About 6 months experience in similar work
·??????? Ability to work in a community with diverse backgrounds and ability to learn very fast.
·??????? Self-motivated personality who needs minimum supervision to deliver
