We say goodbye to 2024! ??????

We bid farewell to 2024 by warmly welcoming Maria Colomer as the new Head of Programming and Co-Artistic Director of the festival. But there’s so much more to share… The DocsBarcelona Industry call for projects is now open, scroll down to discover it!

Wishing you a great start to 2025!

Producer Maria Colomer Canyelles, new Head of Programming and Artistic Co-director at DocsBarcelona

Maria Colomer Canyelles will work alongside èric Motjer , the current Head of Industry, to co-lead the creative and strategic vision of the festival. Colomer (Barcelona, 1994) takes over from Anna Petrus, who has held the position of head of programming and artistic director at DocsBarcelona since 2023 with bold, diverse and committed programmatic proposals.

The new artistic co-direction takes on the task with the will to propose “a festival that not only stands out for its quality, but also becomes an inclusive space for all voices and audiences, from the most rigorous specialization to the most accessible dissemination, embracing everything in between these extremes.”
