We rise by lifting others

Remember the "Pancha Maha Bhootas" or the five elements Fire, Water, Space, Earth, Air that constitutes of all the lives on earth. When you look closely you find that it is the element of Fire that gives the strength and inspires a person to rise high. To rise high and rise above the other people. Often it happens that in trying to rise high a person will harm his other fellow human beings, by working against their interests.
But when we have a feeling that the other person has the same desire to rise high; and in respecting his desire to rise high we make our contribution to the best of our abilities and feel really pleased to see him rise high it is the divinity in us that is working for the good of others. This is one simple reason why a teacher becomes greater than the father who gave birth and did his utmost to bring up the child to youth and manhood.
The reason is so simple as when the teacher was contributing his best to lift the student out of sloth and stupor; it was the divinity in him (the teacher) that was working disinterestedly. It is when we selflessly put the needs of others before our own needs. But, as we do so – as we work to support the dreams, goals and loving acts of those people, others begin to take notice of us and how quietly we make the world a better place one person at a time. Then, those people begin to respond by helping us with our needs. During this time, we manifest qualities such as encouragement, humility, understanding and most of all true love.
As per the philosophy of Socrates, we would say that the most important thing is the state of the soul. To do good, which often means doing good for others, is to improve our own condition. Thus, we ourselves become better when we benefit others. This seems to be a reasonable interpretation of that phrase. We move to the next higher level in life only by ensuring somebody takes our place, for which we uplift their status.
When I say I want the best for someone to happen what I mean just what I say, I hope for the best this life has to offer them and wish them all the greatness they deserve. Usually when you hear this phrase it's during a break up or after one and a person is wishing the other the best because they feel like they couldn't give it to that person themselves. I know when I've said this during a break up which was my recent one that's what I meant.
Thinking that he was a good person and deserves the best this world has to offer and I wished him the best. At this point I don't feel this way about him at all since he's a narcissist and a very disturbed person all together. At the time I felt like I wasn't the one to give him what he wanted and deserved even after being told I did, so I wished him the best in what his future held and his life was to become. Its called karma and one has to pay for it. Cheers!
