Are we the richest nation in the world?

I am wondering how we claim that we are the richest nation in the world when we can’t afford things that other nations use in everyday life.

Look at Dubai, the emirates has extraordinary ventures that are breathtaking and nothing comparable in the United States like indoor skiing in the mall, penguin petting zoo, underwater hotel and so on. Once Florida wanted to build artificial mountain, but now the best beaches in the world stay empty in most areas. Why Dubai could do it in a very short time of 20 years, and became a place of extraordinary luxury and place for tourist visits from all over the world, when we cant build even one new bridge or express railroad.

Almost all countries in Europe have express railroads that can bring you faster from NY to Florida than the plane, but nobody develops anything in this country. A vicious circle of lobbyists stop any progressive idea to pass through and we stay in the Middle Ages comparing to the other nations.

Look at China, what kind of futuristic airport was build in Beijing, Daxing Internatinal airport, or the hanging in the air building in Singapore, the famous Marina Bay Sands building.

Even one small town of Sofia in Eastern Europe has more ultramodern contemporary malls and swimming pools than New York.

China can build a skyscraper in two months. We continue to beat the bush about our infrastructure program for years. Even Trump, who is entrepreneur constructor by profession, couldn’t do much progress in this direction. Lots of people were involved in stopping the construction of the border wall, instead to deal with more serious innovations. The people who collected money to build the wall ended in jail. The last person who was talking to build express train from NY to Florida ended in jail too. Political battles stop any good idea, and the archaic justice system prevents the innovations further. And the Justice department is more interested to jail political opponents and business competitors than to administer justice.

Biden infrastructure program is also on hold. How could it be done when sending money for Ukraine is more important than the wellbeing of the local people. Just this month the Department of Defense announced additional $800 million security assistance package for Ukraine on the top of?the 113 bullion already sent.

I am asking you just to go to Brighton Beach, where lives the Russian speaking population, including the Ukrainians, in NY. It is supposed to be prosperous resort of Dubai type while in the last 20 years there were build few buildings, and the whole place looks like bidonvilles. Coney Island, the famous Coney Island, looks so neglected and old-fashioned and nothing comparable to a real Disney park. And the rest of NYC, outside of the Manhattan parts, doesn’t evoke enthusiasm either. I hear everyday about housing crisis and food crisis and homelessness crisis, or matters concerning the poor nations, but nothing about any significant infrastructure projects in the last years.
