We Will Remember Them: 100 Years On

We Will Remember Them: 100 Years On

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

Sunday 11th November 2018 is not only Remembrance Day, but a landmark event signalling 100 years since the end of World War 1. The centenary provides us with the perfect opportunity to remember, and thank, those who served in this conflict and those who have continued to fight for our safety since.

There are many ways to pledge your support, in addition to taking time out of your busy daily life to think and reflect upon their sacrifices. The Royal British Legion has prepared a guide regarding all the ways in which we remember and how you can get involved: https://www.britishlegion.org.uk/remembrance/how-we-remember/

If you haven’t already, please consider visiting The Poppy Shop at https://www.poppyshop.org.uk/ to donate towards helping those who have served.

You can also get involved in the conversations online by using the #ThankYou100 hashtag on Twitter to share your stories and how you will be remembering this Sunday.

The team at Focus7 are proud supporters of the Armed Forces and veterans’ charities. We are signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant and have been awarded the Employer’s Recognition Scheme Silver Award. As a veteran myself, I am honoured to have served 21 years in the Regular Army, 7 years in the Army Reserve and 18 months supporting the Army Cadet Force.

If you’d like any advice on how your business can show support to the Armed Forces, I am happy to chat it through with you on 01462 262020.
