During this exciting time of growth for ISTEC, we are looking to add to our innovative and dynamic design department. We are recruiting for the roles of Senior Aerospace Design Engineer and also Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

Both roles are full time and on site at our Hertford HQ.

Senior Aerospace Design Engineer

Skills

Strong technical knowledge of aerospace design systems, manufacturing and regulatory processes

CAD proficiency on SolidWorks (ideal) or equivalent CAD package

Strong understanding of structural analysis principles

Ability to carry out complex Finite Element Analysis on assemblies

Technical report writing for example structural substantiation reports

Problem solving and analytical skills

Ability to work to deadlines with self-motivation

Strong organisational and time management skills

Communication and teamworking skills when dealing with colleagues, clients and suppliers

The ability to clearly present technical and regulatory information internally, to customers and to other professionals within the aerospace industry

Leaderships skills to mentor and help develop other engineers within the department

Qualification/Experience?

Ideally degree educated in aerospace/mechanical/automative engineering to a Batchelors or Masters level, or a having achieved Chartered Engineer status with the iMeche or equivalent organisation

Ideally 10+ years’ experience in relevant aerospace industry/role

Senior Design Engineer

Skills

Proficient at creating 2D drawings for manufacture

Problem solving and analytical skills

Ability to work to deadlines with self-motivation

Strong organisational and time management skills

Communication and teamworking skills when dealing with colleagues, clients and suppliers

The ability to clearly present technical information internally, to customers and to other professionals within the industry

Leaderships skills to mentor and help develop other engineers within the department

Qualification/Experience?

Ideally degree educated in aerospace/mechanical/automative engineering to a Batchelors or Masters level, or a having achieved Chartered Engineer status with the IMechE or equivalent organisation, or can demonstrate equivalent experience.?
