Nutrition Informatics Webinar: NARI (Nutri sensitive Affordable solution based on Research using Informatics

September 28, 2024 - An event was organized in observance of National Nutrition Month 2024 by FHTS. It included:

  • A webinar on The first 1000 days: Window of Opportunity for Maternal and Child Health
  • An introduction to SHINE, a nutrition informatics platform by Dr. Joshi and the digital interventions developed, implementation and impact
  • Info session on Certificate in Health and Nutrition informatics - starting batch 4 soon
  • Interesting quiz conducted by two v-INSPIRE Interns at FHTS.

The event was attended by 82 participants


Awareness session on Nutritional Anaemia

Global data says 30% of women 15-49 years of age, 37% of pregnant women and 40% of children 6-59 months of age are affected by anaemia (WHO 2023) and India faces one of the highest burdens. In order to contribute to Government of India's Anaemia Mukt Bharat Program, FHTS conducted an awareness program in Sonia camp, an urban slum area in East Delhi on 24th September in observance of National Nutrition Month 2024.



Boosting Digital Health can prevent millions of deaths from Noncommunicable diseases: WHO

FHTS is contributing to this global public health challenge by utilizing several digital health interventions developed using SMAART Framework by Dr. Joshi.

  1. Designed, developed and implemented one of the first multilingual digital health interventions SWASTHYA PAHAL which has screened more than 15000 individuals across diverse community settings for chronic NCDs such as Diabetes, Hypertension, and Obesity.
  2. Designed, developed and implemented SMS based multilingual nutritional intervention HEAL (Healthy Eating Active Living) supporting more than 3500 individuals towards healthy eating.
  3. SANGYAN is an initiative to facilitate knowledge exchange gateway to Population Health Research, Innovation, Skills and Education using multilingual Podcast.
  4. PUBLIC HEALTH KI RASOI aims to empower individuals using video multimedia to make informed dietary choices by blending nutrition science with cultural and regional practices.
